Life can be very stressful for a child, especially with change, when they have to move away from family and friends. The uncertainty of what will happen, where will I live, will I make any friends and where we are moving. With all of the stress that it is going on, sometimes we forget to remind our children to enjoy the journey.

In the story “Who’s That in the Cat Pajamas” a cute little fairy helps a child enjoy the adventure. She encourages and gives insight into how much fun will be had. The story creates a positive attitude for the new and different experience. The fairy in disguise also explains the new modern conveniences that can be enjoyed in order to stay in touch with family and friends.
The Author, Sojourner McConnell was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Sojourner now resides in Winchester, Kentucky with one of her daughters and three of her thirteen grandchildren. She loves to tell stories. When she is not writing, she is busy entertaining her Australian Shepherd, Beau.
There are several pictures in this chapter book illustrated by Ellie Barretthere. “Who’s That in the Cat Pajamas” is an easy read. The 39 pages are sure to keep your child’s attention. The reading level of this chapter book is from 5-12. Although a five-year-old probably won’t be able to read it, they will be able to understand and follow along with the story.
