It’s My bedtime but I’m thirsty, and other famous stalls. Do you hear this when you put your child to bed?
Bedtime seems to be the hardest while we, as parents, would love to fall into bed and just go to sleep these cute little people in our lives have the hardest time settling down. They just can’t seem to turn off their energy and close their eyes, although when they do stop for a few seconds they are out like a light. I think this is what they are afraid of, they will stop for one second and be asleep.
It’s my bedtime but I’m thirsty is one my granddaughter favorites, she really enjoys this book. As we read through all of the pages she giggles and I ask her “Do you do that.” Sometimes she just grins and other times she answers yes sheepishly.
This is a fun story that can be enjoyed at bedtime or anytime. On each page the little boy in the story comes up with a new reason why he can’t go to sleep. I am sure the Author has written this book from experience.
Can you relate to this?
Any parent can relate to this story and most children can probably laugh out of guilt for doing at least one of these reasons while stalling at bedtime.
The pictures are bright and colorful and hold the attention of a child. It’s my bedtime….but I’m thirsty is a quick read and would make a great bedtime story.
