What important points do you look for when choosing a toy for your child? There are many toys to choose from, but what toys are the best?
A great find for good educational toys
Product received opinions are my own.
What do you consider when choosing a toy. Here are a few things I consider:
- The age of the child
- The interests of the child
- What does your child like to learn
- The abilities of the child
- What is the child capable of learning at this time.
Children learn at different speeds and learn in different ways. It is important to take these things into considerations when choosing toys that promote learning.
What the boys thought
Recently I was sent a Tenergy Robot 2 in 1 Kit and ask to complete a review. I decided to send it to my grandsons ages 6, 8 and 11. I knew they could really put it to the test. They were excited to receive the robot and thought it looked like fun.
- The 11 year old really enjoyed it. He was able to work on the robot by himself and put it together.
- The 8 year old was also able to put the robot together by himself and he thought it was a lot of fun.
- The 6 year old needed help when working on it, and enjoyed the interaction with his brothers as they worked on the robot together.
This is a great toy to teach team work and cooperation.
What Mom thought
The real test is what my daughter thought of the Tenergy Robot.
She felt it was very educational. She thought it taught good skills about reading directions and how to follow the directions closely. Each part had to be put in a certain direction and assembled properly for it to work.
Other educational toys she has purchased have not been as challenging as the Tenergy Robot. Her children were able to put them together quickly without following the directions closely.
With the Tenergy Robot they had to pay attention to which way the parts were facing for the next step to work and what screws went where. Assembly of the electronics part helped them learn a lot. It isn’t just a simple game it really made them think.
What do kids learn with Tenergy Toys
The Tenergy Robot is a STEM Learning Toy (science, technology, engineering, math)
When building this Robot it involves:
- Graphical programming
- Electronics and mechanics through robotics building
- Educational App based programs
- Uses bluetooth enable mobile/tablet devices
For my grandchildren it was just fun. They learned while they played. Essentially isn’t that what playing is all about?
When the robot was completed they enjoyed driving it using the app on their tablet. It really is pretty cute when the lights are all lit up. My granddaughter (4 yrs) even enjoyed playing with them when it was finished.
The Smart Robot is a 2 in 1 and can be built as a tricycle or a dicycle. This Robot is an intelligent vehicle that tracks lines, avoid obstacles, races and more.
Will they put it together over and over?
When the Robot was complete I ask my daughter if this is just a one time toy they put together or is it something the boys will continue to enjoy? She said they were already talking about taking it apart and making the tricycle version. This is a toy they will continue to enjoy.
As a grandmother I was happy to give the boys a toy they would continue to enjoy and not just set it on a shelf to collect dust when they finished.
If you are looking for a gift this was a hit. There are other toys made by Tenergy for different age groups and different price ranges.
These are just a few. I hope you find this post helpful. Feel free to share it out with others. Do you have Tenergy products? I would love to hear more about them.
