What do you do with a picky eater? For the most part, I was pretty lucky when my kids were little, while there were a few things they didn’t like, they really weren’t very picky eaters. What makes a kid a picky eater?
What makes a child picky?
Is it the taste, color, texture, or they have never really even tried the food? If your child is picky, what do you think the reason is? Maybe this book about Harriet The Brave can help you out a little.
One of the things I like about this story, and yes it is probably an odd observation, the author talks about a garden and the different vegetables grown in one. This is incorporated into the story, something I feel important for kids to know. Where their food really comes from, not just the grocery store.
Bright and imaginative pictures
The pictures in this book are very bright and imaginative as well as the story itself. Harriet The Brave is a very adventurous little girl that is looking for a way out of eating her vegetables, but to her surprise, she figures out a way to eat her vegetables, and more important get to eat her dessert, a piece of chocolate cake.
The author Tracy Kushwaha loves children. She enjoys writing books to encourage children to read and take an adventure thru a story. Tracy has written two books. The first book is “Harriet and the Spaghetti Snake.” another great adventure.
Be sure and read more blog posts that include other new authors and books. Check out the books on the Book Store page for heartwarming stories. Kids love pictures of real farm animals, especially when they tell a story.
