When you stop and think how much a child learns in their first 5 years of life it is amazing. Just to think they learn to walk, talk and understand the things you are saying, colors, counting along with an assortment of things. But the learning doesn’t stop there. Children love to learn and look to us to teach them.

Now don’t get me wrong I am not one to think you should push your child to be a super kid. I believe that every child learns at their own pace. Some children are just not ready to sit down and work on things while another child is excited to sit and learn. But if you watch, both children are excited to learn, maybe just not the same things.
Kids love to learn
I love to watch my grandchildren and observe the things they are doing. None of them are exactly the same, even if they are in the same family, or if they are the same age. They all have things they love to do and learn. Each one of them is so different. How could or why would you ever want to compare what your child is doing to another child. It just sets you up for some sort of disappointment. Let’s face it we all learn and do things at a different pace.
For this reason, I really liked these books I received in the mail from Gakken Play Smart. These workbooks were for ages 2+, 3+, and 4+. I was so excited to have my granddaughter see them. She is 3 years old and the first thing she said was Grammy you should have gotten these when I was 2, now I am 3 so I can do these. But I am not 4 yet so I cant do these.
I decided I would let her work on all of them but mostly the 2 and 3-year-old books. I would save the 4+ books for when she gets older or we finish the other ones.
Fun activities in every book
Each age level group has books filled with picture puzzles, counting games, art projects, drawing, counting games, and mazes that are age appropriate. There are stickers to put on some of the pages and all of the pages have a spot for a reward sticker when they have completed the page. Each book also has a board game included.
My granddaughter really enjoys working on these books. While I don’t push her to sit down and do them she is excited to choose which books she wants to do. I have noticed improvement and growth in several areas since we started working on the workbooks. She is always excited to take them home to show to her parents.
Learning can be fun!
Learning can be fun!! These workbooks help promote building fine motor coordination while exercising creativity and curiosity. They also help boost problem-solving skills while learning to focus. These workbooks also promote other important skill such as matching shapes, colors and counting objects.
I would highly recommend these Gakken Workbooks for your child. Make learning fun!
